Architectural Design & Planning Services

“Allow us to help turn your design ideas into reality…”

Alterations & Extensions

Are you thinking of extending or altering your property? Do you own land suitable for development in Hastings, Bexhill, Battle, Eastbourne or Rye? We can offer a full design service to help you design the works and development, obtaining either outline or full Planning Permission and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations together with organising and monitoring building works on site to ensure full satisfaction. Plans can be prepared for small projects such as a front porch up to full design and detailing of a large extension or new build.

Internal Refurbishment Extensions and Alterations

We can assist with preparation of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings for Planning and Building Regulation applications on all building types and production of fully compliant Land Registry/Lease Plans.

Permitted Development

Some smaller scale extensions can sometimes be built under Permitted Development rights, which may not require full consent. Consultation with the Local Authority will still be necessary by way of a Lawful Development Certificate. Meridian can advise on all projects to establish whether the proposed scheme is Permitted Development and fits within the necessary regulations. Some properties including flats and maisonettes do not have any Permitted Development rights. Further restrictions also apply to listed buildings and properties in Conservation Areas and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Land Registry Plans

Meridian Surveyors offer a  range of Land Registry Compliant Plans including:

  • Lease plans
  • Freehold plans
  • Boundary disputes
  • Conveyance plans

Disabled Adaptations

We can design and organise alterations for all types of internal and external Disabled adaptations (DDA), including assisting in obtaining grants and organising and monitoring the works on site. We can help with small projects from a simple wet room or disabled toilet to larger disabled access arrangements.
